Hey simmers, long time no update. But that’s all about to change! Seriously! I’ve been on vacation for the past few weeks, but I’ve started writing again. With A Specter Legacy, I have plenty of pictures and just need to write! About a third of the next chapter is done. With Finding Consort, things are the exact opposite; I already written a bunch, but I still need to take more pictures. It’s hard to believe that I’m just about 5 scenes away from finishing my very first short story, but I am. Definitely expect a conclusion to that series by the end of the summer. And hopefully, I’ll have some more short stories in progress by then, but hey, you never know. Happy Reading!

I’m kinda fed up with the Specters. Don’t worry, I’m not stopping it, but I’ve been having crashing issues lately and it’s making them really annoying to play, especially as it takes forever to shoot scenes anyway. I blame it on the pets. I won’t spoil too much about upcoming chapters, but let’s just say puppies were introduced and the crashing began. Between this and the digging holes in the yard thing, I can’t remember why I still have that EP installed on my computer.
Other than that, I’ve put off playing them because I have so much plot in store and just the thought of taking pictures was enough to scare me away for days. By the way, it is not easy giving personality and plot lines to so many different characters, so kudos to anyone out there writing legacies with loads of characters and twisted plot lines. In fact, that was exactly why I originally planned to kill off all the spares – so I wouldn’t have to deal with so many sims. But then I got cold feet; turns out even I am not cruel enough to kill them all off. I still haven’t worked out how much face time spares will get in the story, though. I suppose that depends on who the spares are and how much I like them. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the heir challenges won’t be rigged. I kinda got the idea of a challenge from joandsarah77’s Mobacy (http://tinyurl.com/27zzm49). But her heirship challenge didn’t have enough randomness for me. So I constructed some challenges that would basically leave the winner up to fate, or the game’s randomness, but I still need to test them to see if they would actually have the desired effect. I don’t want to spoil too much, as the secrecy around these events is a big thing in the story right now, but... Think a sim version of survivor. And let’s just say the first generation’s task is to play with fire. Speaking of the first generation, they’re all teens in my game now, and cute as hell. I was right – there’s some cloning going on, but, hey, you can’t have everything right? It’ll be a while before you see them all as teens (1-2 chapters) because, like I said, I have so much plot, But if you want a sneak peak, check here. I didn’t plan for the story to get so long, but I figured that if I was going to kill one of them off and kick the other two out, the least I could was provide some substance to their characters so that their departures might mean something, you know? Anywho, that’s all for now. |
